St. Helena
Bauhaus

The idea was to build a modern home that evokes a relaxed, sophisticated, and timeless feeling. That it’s design would integrate naturally into the future with even more relevancy. Our goal was to build a contemporary structure beneath the canopy of 200 year-old oak trees, so that it appears to have always been here. The owners studied Bauhaus theories of architecture - simple lines, subtle integration of natural materials, systems, curves and shapes, all efficiently elegant, of highest quality, mindfully constructed. A Feng Shui Consultant worked with the owners to build within those principles inside and outside. Two years of planning and building later, the idea was fully realized. The setting is rural, almost two acres in an established country neighborhood amidst vineyards, wineries, olive orchards, and quail runs. Situated on a private lane, no sidewalks or street lights, wide and starry night skies, impeccably private, yet only five minutes to everything. We hope you appreciate our efforts.
