My name is Barbara Lai Allen, and I specialize in exclusive Napa Valley properties in and around St. Helena (where I work) and Yountville (where I live). Born in Taiwan, I lived in the Bay Area until my husband and I moved abroad. We traveled the world for almost ten years, but returned in 1990 to settle in the beautiful Napa Valley, a magical place.

Real estate is a highly personal business - - the reasons we buy or sell are many. I analyze the story behind each property, from the simplest pied-a’-terre to the most sumptuous vineyard estate. I listen carefully and learn about each client and what they’re looking for, down to the finest detail. When we find the right fit, I’m a strong negotiator who can achieve the client’s goals, even in multiple offer situations.

My marketing programs include a unique, custom-designed website, complemented by lavish color advertising in the most upscale local and international publications. I can pinpoint precisely the right market for my listings, so our campaign is properly targeted.

I work hard to get the results my clients want. I am continually studying the relationship between price fluctuations and market activity, and how they fit into the larger economic picture. This allows me to gauge the best values for buyers and advise sellers about how to get the best possible price.
